DOMO Consulting assists lenders and property owners, state and municipal government agencies through the regulations and procedures of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Ginnie Mae multifamily programs. Since 2009, HUD’s multifamily programs have been a rapidly expanding resource for financing rental housing. DOMO Consulting offers a full range of services for lenders that need help with applying for HUD approval, including the training that is needed to prepare for participating in and underwriting HUD’s multifamily programs. For property owners and housing authorities, DOMO Consulting acts as their Development Consultant to provide feasibility assessments, to select developers and general contractors, and to negotiate financing and investment in affordable projects.
DOMO Consulting LLC was recruited to join the team of experts hired after Hurricane Katrina to design the programs that were needed to restore rental housing lost in Louisiana and Mississippi. As a member of the teams hired to create each state's housing recovery programs, DOMO Consulting LLC spent over 12 months in the Gulf working with the states and the federal government to use programs like Community Development Block Grants and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to provide the funds that the states, public housing authorities, and developers needed to restore the tens of thousands of affordable rental housing units that were needed to replace the units lost in the storm.
